Chunjie Zheng is a partner at Merits & Tree. Prior to joining M&T, Ms. Zheng was a partner in a law firm and was the director of the firm's Family Wealth Management Center.
Ms. Zheng has extensive experience in family services and wealth management, banking and finance, and civil and commercial litigation and dispute resolution, covering the whole process of litigation and non-litigation services such as equity optimization and succession, equity financing compliance, tax planning, trust and insurance planning, foundation establishment, domestic and overseas marriage inheritance, wills and bequests, immigration and asset transit. Ms. Zheng is the author of books of The Billionaire’s Succession Plan and Legal Answers and Practical Guidance on Foreign-related Marriage.
Ms. Zheng has served institutional clients in banking, insurance, and trust, including China Merchants Bank, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Life, Taikang Life, New China Life, CITIC Prudential, CITIC Trust, Beijing International Trust, and Tsinghua University PBC School of Finance, and she has provided services to many high-net-worth clients, including dealing with disputes between the family members of an Olympic champion, entertainment stars, and high-ranking government officials, as well as special services in the division of shareholdings and wealth management for the beneficial owners of listed companies, and in the transmission of shareholdings in family-owned companies and the inheritance of assets.
