Fangfang Gui is a partner at Merits&Tree Law Offices. Prior to joining M&T, she has worked as a partner in several law firms.
Her main practice area is family services and wealth management. She has successfully represented nearly a thousand litigation cases, both domestic and international, involving divorce, inheritance, property division, and equity disputes. Her work has garnered significant media attention, particularly for high-profile divorce cases involving founders and shareholders of well-known company, and the first-ever national dispute regarding the surrogacy twins inheritance.
As a legal advisor to several private banks, Ms. Gui has guided hundreds of high-net-worth clients through marital wealth planning and inheritance planning. Her expertise has been recognized by the All China Lawyers Association, which has invited her input on legislative suggestions for the Book 5 Marriage & Family and Book 6 the Succession within the PRC Civil Code. She has also contributed to Practical Commentary on the Civil Code published by Peking University Press. She is a columnist for newspapers and magazines such as Wealth Management, Marriage and Family, and China Women's News, and has published seven popular books like How Law Protects the Family, 200 Wealth Management Tips in the Civil Code, and 100 Hot Issues on Protection of Women's Rights and Interests Law.
